    Submission Guidelines:

The Student Filmmakers Guild welcomes and publishes content submissions from the largest community of students and professionals in the film industry. The community of the Guild encourages submissions through articles, stories, reviews, guides, resources and news from any filmmaker.

You do not have to be a professional writer to have an article appear in the Guild's information. You simply must have a desire for the furtherance of filmmaking - and of course, something to say about a facet of something film related.

    Types Submissions We Use:

The Student Filmmakers Guild focuses on filmmakers at the student level. While we attract professionals, we want our content to be focused on student filmmakers. The SFG is highly interested in content that has a high level of educational content.

The always expanding Guild prefers to focus on checklists for help enhance student filmmaking. The content we prefer revolves around how-to's for students, information about very specific parts of filmmaking that can involve students, stories about student filmmakers or recent graduates that are excelling, interviews with professionals that have advice or information for students, essays by or for students.

The Guild also wants contributions about special events or event reporting for Guild members, movie and product reviews, school reviews, news relating to filmmaking, student filmmakers profiles, advice from professors to students, student opportunities, and anything else that you can think of for further education.

    Deadlines:

The Student Filmmakers Guild has no deadlines, we publish material on a daily basis, but due to high content submissions and higher content standards, there will be a necessary amount of time for the review process.

Featured, Large, or Episodic Articles will be published every Tuesday.

    Submission Length:

Article length varies, depending on content but an average word count per article is 500 to 1500 words, and sometimes up to 3000 words or longer, depending on type of article.

If a large article is accepted, arrangements can be made to publish in a series over a few weeks or months should the article be more than 4000 words.
